Marshall Cook is an award winning director, writer and producer working across film, television and commercials. Shortly after graduating from Occidental College with degrees in film and theater, Marshall wrote and directed a number of award-winning shorts, which quickly earned him recognition as an emerging filmmaker throughout the festival circuit. Following the success of his shorts he directed, co-wrote, produced, edited and starred in the cult sport-comedy feature, Division III: Football’s Finest. He cut his teeth in branded entertainment through commercial competitions on the crowdsourced studio, Tongal.com, where he was the first to be awarded “Tongaler of the Year” and inducted into their “Hall of Fame.” He has since directed, written and produced over 80 commercials for major agencies and brands for broadcast and across social platforms. More recently, inspired by his time on the festival circuit, Marshall directed, co-wrote and produced his sophomore feature film, Film Fest, which premiered at Austin Film Fest (2020) and is now available on most streaming platforms. He also developed a comedy series with for eOne Entertainment with frequent collaborator Will Sasso based on their successful Vimeo “Short of the Week”, Follow Me. Champions of the Universe, developed and co-written by Cook and Sasso, will be Marshall’s third feature film. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Michelle, and senior dog, Mac.
